There has been so much happening in the world recently and there’s this weight, this energy that we’re all carrying. An exhaustion, a heaviness, a frustration deep in our bones. It makes showing up every day a real challenge. Some days, I just want to lay in bed and not have to carry the heaviness around. Alongside this energy, this weight, there’s something else…Something that reminds me there’s a reason I do get out of bed every day. Something that reminds me to take that deep breath, stretch out my bones and step into the world. It doesn’t matter what you call it, or how you connect with it…it’s there, that thing inside all of us that makes you feel alive. It doesn’t ignore the heaviness but it gives us to the strength to carry it, and it gives us the empathy we need for ourselves to rest, to slow down, to laugh, to cry, to dance, to pray, to celbrate, and to just be.
